Placemark are helpful to determine a place/point on map. You can add a placemark in two different ways.
1. Upload a placemark file created using Google Earth application.
For this, click on link “Placemarks”, which you can get on Header of any page. A window will popup on click of the link. Select your file by clicking the "Browse" button.
If you wish to have the place marks only for you, select the checkbox in front of "Do not share my placemarks with others."
If you wish to add these place marks as Targets for you, select the checkbox in front of "Also add in Target Table."
Now click the button "Upload". this will upload your place mark’s file to the server.
2. Create a placemark online.
Go to “Targets” page and click “Add New Record”. There fill necessary information (you may use google map to locate exact point as your reference) and check “Add as My Placemark”- When I click on balloons on the Map, it shows me a lot of information which I don't understand / or it’s of no use to me, Can I hide that information, or can I customize the displayed information?
Yes, the information listed on the Maps is editable under our Website. Please click on link "My Account". On this page you will see a link "Map Preferences", click on this link. A window will popup. On this page select only the information you want to get displayed on the map.
- I see Flags of all the other users on the map, which slows the speed of Map display. Can I view my Targets only?
Note: This check box will be enabled (NOT gray in color) only when you have uploaded your Place marks file and you have added targets to this file.
- On each refresh of the Map while Live Tracking, the map automatically zooms out, Can I set my own default Zoom Level?
