Why is there limited coverage when GPS works anywhere in the world?
While it's true that GPS works everywhere in the world, GPS Integrated's location technology uses GPS and digital wireless (GSM) technologies to find and communicate the location of the person wearing the device. Signals and service from both are needed for complete, end-to-end location reporting to occur. Since GPS Integrated's technology uses GPS coordinates on a nationwide digital wireless network, device needs to be within the coverage area for the communication to occur.
Will the technology work everywhere I go?
The performance and coverage may vary. The performance of every wireless communications system is subject to local conditions, like GSM network coverage and where a caller is located when they use. Wireless location solution is not only subject to local conditions in the wireless network since it uses the wireless network to relay position requests and information. but it is also subject to local conditions that can affect GPS performance, such as: GSM calling coverage and local conditions in the GSM network; The location of the GPS satellites in space in relation to the phone; The amount of blockage between the phone and the sky, and; How the phone is being held.
How does the technology work?
This combines GPS and GSM technologies. When you do a location request, it will reference a system of 24 GPS satellites circling the earth. At the same time, the Unit taps into the GSM network based on the location of the closest GSM cell tower to narrow down the search window for GPS signals. This significantly shortens the time it takes to get a GPS reading. What is the warranty for my device?
The device has a warranty of 365 days from the date of purchase. Details can be found in the Warranty section of the User Guide.
Can anyone else track my child’s phone? How secure is the service?
The account holder with access to the account information has the ability to track. The account holder should not disclose the Username and Password to others.

What is the technology used in Tracking?
GPS, GSM and GPRS technology is used for tracking.
What is GPS?
GPS is abbreviation for Global Positioning System.
What is GSM?
GSM is Global Service Mobile
What GPRS stands for?
GPRS stands for General Packet Radio Service
SMS stands for Short Messaging Service.
How do I activate and use my Device?
To activate your unit, you have to just switch on the device. And at the second instance you will be activated and track yourself. Also please refer to the Quick Start Guide ( PDF file). For more details, refer to the User Guide ( PDF file).
How do I set up a "follow now"?
Logon to your service provider’s website using your Subscriber ID and PIN, and customize your location request to be a reoccurring function. The successive location requests will be mapped out for you to view online.
How does the SOS button work?
In the case of an emergency, you can push the SOS button, which is pre-programmed by the manufacturer to dial the local emergency network.
How can I track online (real-time)?
Once your device is ON, Logon to the www.gpsintegrated.com using your username and password provided and you will see your device online.
Can I get SMS alerts on my Cell Phone?
You can receive SMS alerts on your cell phone, mail id or and GSM enabled device.
How can I see the vehicle moving on maps?
Logon to the www.gpsintegrated.com using username and password and then in Desktop Tracking click Live Tracking, You will get an KML file save it to your disk and run it using Google earth.
What is the updating time for tracking vehicle?
Updating is done after every 15 seconds, and vehicle location is updated after every 1-5 minutes.
How do I get a new phone number?
Phone Number cannot be changed.
How do I clear a phone number button?
You cannot completely clear a phone number button, but you can replace that button with a different phone number or program it to be a locate button.
Can I call anyone using the device?
You can only call three numbers that you pre-programmed into the device.
Can anyone calling from any number reach me?
Yes, anyone can call by dialing your number. Even if a caller’s number is not pre-programmed into the phone, he/she can still call you. Please note that all incoming calls are free of cost.
How do I answer?
You can use the button or after particular rings device automatically responds

Push the Power Off/End button.

My devices voice quality is poor, or I cannot hear my callers.

How do I perform a web/online locate?
Logon to gpsintegrated.com using your username and password, and track your loved ones.
What are the system requirements to access the online?
To access the LSC on the web, Internet Explorer browser versions 6.0 and higher, or Netscape 4.7 and higher, are supported.
It usually takes under a minute to perform a single locate through the online. However, atmospheric, environmental, and geographic conditions as well as satellite position may prolong that time.
How do I charge the device?
Use the provided standard battery charger to charge the battery (do not use other wireless device chargers). Plug the charger into a working power outlet and insert the other end of the charger into the device. Charge for at least three hours or until the battery icon stops flashing. How do I find the IMEI and Serial Number (S/N)?
The IMEI and Serial Number are located on the backside of your device. You can also find the IMEI number when you logon to the online.
How do I change the Device Name?
Logon to www.gpsintegrated.com or tell the concerned person from where you purchased the device.
I don’t know or I forgot my Username and password ?
You can easily retrieve username and password by logging on the site or calling the concerned person.
Can I change my Subscriber ID or PIN?
Logon the GPS Integrated site at www.gpsintegrated.com to change your username and password in MYACCOUNT section.
I can’t seem to program a button.
Make sure that the is turned on and is not in use. If you still can’t program a button, move to an area with GSM reception and better GPS signal strength.
I can’t seem to make or receive calls.
The GPS signal strength and/or GSM reception may be poor. Check the signal strength bar/icon on the phone display, or see the coverage map online. Make sure that you are exposed to as much open sky as possible. In regards to making a call, confirm first that you have programmed the number correctly (online or via SMS).
I can’t seem to complete a location request.
Make sure that the device is turned on and that the battery is not low. If necessary, move to an area with GSM reception and better GPS signal strength.
Will I be able to locate the device if it is turned off?
The device cannot be located if it is turned off.
My location requests keep timing out online.
The device may be turned off, or it is in an area where GPS signal strength and/or GSM reception is poor. In some cases, this may take a few minutes to perform a successful location request as a result of being in less than optimal conditions. Check the history page online in five minutes again.
Why does the phone battery die shortly after I’ve recharged it?
You may not have fully recharged the device – charge it for at least three hours. Your battery life also depends on how you use the device. A fully charged battery can sustain up to 1 lac location requests, 2 days of standby time,
What does GPRS failure mean?
Device is unable to complete a location request because the GSM coverage is poor. Check the signal strength .You will not be charged for unsuccessful location requests.
I am getting dropped calls.
The GSM reception may be poor. Check the signal strength bar/icon on the phone display, or see the coverage map online. Make sure that you are exposed to as much open sky as possible.
What is GPS Integrated SMS and what can I do with this service feature?
GPS Integrated SMS allows you to locate or program a speed dial button using your mobile device. You need to have text message capability (sending and receiving) from your mobile device in order to access this service. Check with your mobile service provider for your plan details.
How much does GPS Integrated SMS cost?
GPS Integrated does not charge for programming the device through SMS. This feature is intact and available without additional cost. However, for every location request you perform (whether it is through the Internet, landline, or mobile phone SMS),In addition, with respect to SMS, your mobile provider's standard rates for sending and receiving text messages will be applied.
How will I receive my location results?
You will receive your location results through text messages on the mobile device from which you sent the command.
How long does it take for me to receive my location?
You will get your location results or any other confirmations/notifications within three minutes.
How Can I Manage My device Settings if the SIM card changes?
Once your SIM card (Service Provider) changes then there are little bit of changes to be made to the device, these changes can be done by just sending an SMS to the current number that is used in Device.
